Rift Mage Class Guide

If fancy robes, ancient texts and spells have been your calling, you might have been aRift mage in a past life. Rift mages specialize in the arcane and the taboo; where there is a spiritual power to manipulate, Rift mages are there.
Mages master the elements before they tap into their calling; however many will be naturally inclined to show case their natural talents. The Rift mage branch path is divided six ways; there’s the sun shine “elementalist,” the scheming “warlock,” the fire is my best friend “pyromancer,” the creates monsoons in his hand “stormcaller,” the succubus of the soul “archon,” and the old bones “necromancer.” As a mage each of the classes specializes in a unique forte but mages boil down to direct damage, direct will attacks or minion based assaults.

Rift Callings and Classes Guide

Rift is an MMORPG that will be released in March 2011. In the game there are different callings and classes. Players will first pick which calling they want, and then choose a class within that calling. Rift Calling/Classes determine the looks and abilities of the player. Players getting to choose their own Rift Calling/Classes is part of what will make this game enjoyable for players.
One of Rift’s callings is the Warrior. Warriors are the most disciplined fighters, and their specialty is weapons. The warrior calling contains six classes. These classes are: Champions, Paladins, Paragons, Reavers, Riftblades, and Warlords. Champions carry two-handed weapons, and are especially great at melee combat. Paladins carry large shields, and are thus good defenders. Paragons carry two weapons and are very quick fighters. Reavers can spread death, disease, and madness through their weapons. Riftblades can use elemental magic. Fianlly, Warlords are inspiring and experienced leaders.

Rift Warrior Guide

The Rift Warrior is the ultimate melee class in the game. The Rift Warrior can take on many different roles in battle depending on what soul they operate under. One of the most unique aspects of Rift is the soul system which allows the player to tailor their class in a great number of different ways to cope with different situations.
In Rift Planes of Telara, the warrior has a dual purpose. They are the preeminent front line fighters in the world of Rift. The Rift Warrior is capable of dealing considerable damage, while absorbing it as well. No other class in the game can match the warrior in survivability. While Rouges, and Mages may be able to inflict greater damage on average, they lack the high HP and defense that the Warrior posses. These are the men and women who stand before an oncoming avalanche of enemies, and attempt to hold them back with brute strength, and cunning use of their natural abilities.

Rift Guide

Rift Planes of Telara is a brand new massively multi player online role playing game that introduces a radical concept to the way that online role playing games are played. The world of Telara, which is where the game is set, has been fractured by a series of violent rifts. These rifts are causing the world of Telara to buckle and churn and in turn each rift causes a series of cataclysmic events. Each of these events, known as a rift, causes damage, death, and destruction to the people of Telara. As a character in Telara, it is your task to survive. You can choose to accomplish one of a couple ways but the bottom line is that you can either let the rifts work against you or try and tame the power of the rifts to work for you.

Leveling Guide

In Rift, there are many ways for leveling your toon. Questing is the easiest and fastest way to leveling. However, questing alone would be boring and would eventually reduce your pace to leveling to 50. Some people might say “I only leveling through questing with no problem at all and I made it through 50 within 1 week easily”. Yeah, it is not hard at all if you can keep doing quest after quests on and on without getting sick of it and exit the game. So, it’s normal that you will choose to enjoy combats in warfronts or joining in Rift events, which are much more fun than solo-leveling.

Without a good leveling guide, after you’ve gained some levels from warfronts and dungeons, you’ll surely find problems searching where you should go questing next. Thus, wasting time to do quests that either too high level that you can’t complete or too low level that you get almost nothing from it is inevitable. Even worse, you might miss some quests that give you rare rewards that players really shouldn’t miss!!

Rift Guide

Imagine how your gameplay in Rift: Planes of Telara will be much more fun if you have a good friend to guide and suggest you on almost everything. RIFT GUIDE by Game Guide Empire can be that friend for you. If you’re just a starter in Rift, this Rift Guide will sure to help you save a LOT of time. Starting with suggestions on what quests you should go for, what quests you should skip, and what quests you DEFINITELY CAN’T MISS!, this Rift Guide: leveling section alone can help you save days and you won’t miss rare items and rewards along the way.

Rift Riftblade Guide

I have two main characters which I play in Rift, one of which is a Riftblade-specced Warrior. Lately, however, I have run into dozens of Riftblades who have no idea how to play the class.

I suspect this lack of skill is the reason why Reaver-builds have become the new flavor of the month spec, despite Riftblade being the vastly superior build. Fear not, for in this Rift guide I will be teaching you exactly how to play Riftblade so you can dominate competition.

Fero’s Guide Review

Now, while I do not particularly enjoy partaking in the lambasting of an author’s work, I would be embarrassed to even attach my character’s name to “Fero’s Guide”, let alone my real name.

Here is what is promised in Fero’s Guide:

Strategies to hit level 50 in under a week.
Quest walkthroughs for the “important” quests you find in Rift
Other strategies to help you in PvP and PvE
Gold-making strategies

Here is the reality of the situation:

Most players are able to hit level 50 in under a week. Personally I hit level 50 in about 3 days of playtime, so if you actually take close to a week to hit 50 you are either doing it wrong or did nothing but Warfronts and Rifts.
Generic info about questing and rifts
Useless lists of dungeons and other nonsense that you would figure out within a few seconds of playing
“Gold Making” strategies. Unfortunately, platinum is the top-tier currency in Rift. I wonder if the person who created the home page has even played the game?

The Bottom Line

Frankly, I am shocked that this is even for sale. While you might find other reviews around the internet giving this guide glowing reviews, the truth is that these are just a bunch of paid affiliates trying to make a buck at your expense.

But really, what else did you expect from a site with a sales page riddled with spelling errors and a design straight out of the 1990s?

Rift Artifacts Guide

If you are like many players, you have no doubt stumbled upon an artifact in Rift and had no idea what to do with it or what it is used for. In this Rift Artifacts guide, I will be going over what artifacts are, what to do with them, and where to find more of them.

Artifacts in Rift are rare items found throughout the world which you can use to complete “collections”. These items are found all over the world, both as objects you can loot of the ground in the most unusual locations and additionally as drops off of enemies.

Artifacts in Rift are like a mini-game of sorts. Players can travel all around the world to find them and it is a nice surprise when you bump into these while questing. Think of these as incentive to explore the world and to keep your eyes open when questing.

Silverwood artifact hunter's guide.

Okay so now that I am officially the greatest artifact hunter on my shard, and possibly the world, I would like to extend some assistance in the form of an artifact map, and some tips for hunting in Silverwood.

DISCLAIMER: This map is by no means comprehensive and is not meant to be. In order to obtain every artifact spawn location you would need the data gathered by many thousands of players over time, which is currently in progress. This is simply meant to show the concentrated areas of artifact spawns, allowing the hunter to find the most efficient path to the most spawns. I did not record all of the coordinates because I did not feel it prudent, however for my next map I will so that they may be entered in to one of the existing maps/databases. All locations are APPROXIMATE and you may have to look under, around, inside, behind or above things in order to locate the artifact in question. Most, if not all, of the information gleaned from the past few days of gathering artifacts is INCONCLUSIVE at best, and nothing should be assumed to be 100% true.

Rift Guardian Leveling

Rift is currently one of the most exciting and fun MMO that I have played in recent times. Of the two factions available to play – the Guardians and the Defiant – I have spent most of my time playing as the Guardians and trying the numerous classes available. It didn’t take long for me to realize how in-depth the game really was, especially where classes and each sub-category within the class is concerned. I have been ecstatic about the idea of having such a wide variety of options to choose from the four archtypes which are the Warriors, Rogues, Clerics and Mages.

Kalmar’s Rift Guide

Kalmar’s Rift Guide is focused on assisting those players who choose to join the Guardian faction in Rift.
So if you choose to join the Defiant faction, or if you would like a guide that covers both factions, you might want look at the other Rift guides available.
This guide has been developed by a full time and very experienced gamer who claims this guide can get you from level 1 through to level 50 in under 2 days.
[It is noted that less than 2 days, actually translates to less than 48 hours - so this really represents "less than 6 x 8 hour playing sessions", or "12 x 4 hour sessions", etc.]
All updates to this guide will be made available to any one who buys the guide.

Catari’s Rift Guide

Catari’s Rift Guide is focused on assisting those players who choose to join the Defiant faction in Rift. So if you chose to join the Guardian faction, or if you would prefer a guide that covers both of the Rift factions, maybe you should have a look at some of the other popular Rift guides that are reviewed on this site.

Rift Domination Review

If you have read through much of this blog then you will have seen the names Rift Supremacy and Xerxes Rift Guide pop up frequently- these are the two 'heavyweight' strategy guides in the Rift world. However, there is now a new kid on the block. Rift Domination, by James Folex, claims to be able to show the fastest leveling path possible, as well as how to make huge amounts of gold. Is Rift Domination going to dethrone Supremacy and Xerxes, or is it just going to flounder? Keep reading this Rift domination review to find out more.

I am always keenly interested in any new MMORPG strategy guide that comes out. Because of the complex nature of this genre of game, there is never going to be one definitive guide. Clever players can always develop new strategies to get themselves to the top- that's what makes online RPG gaming so exciting. So does Rift Domination bring anything new to the party, or is it more of the same old?

What is the best Rift Guide on the market?

I think this could be your question, first of all l am me just say i am a passionate Rift player (more like maniac) and i created here a blog that will help you with finding a good Rift guide that will help you with leveling, building…etc

Ok there is bunch of Rift Guides online but not all of them are good, actually most of them are bad but here since i tested most of them i separated two guides from the crowd. And on this blog you will be able to see the reviews and some builds and leveling tips from this guides.

Rift puzzle and cairn guide

1 puzzle per zone.
1 or more cairns in each zone.

The item "level" scales up to a certain maximum for each zone depending on your level. This max level is displayed in the images for the first 2 links as a number with a treasure chest. For example, the cap in Freemarch is level 30. If you're level 28 and you open the cairn/treasure, you will get an item you can equip at level 28. If you're level 32, the max level of that item will be level 30.

Cairn and puzzle guide:
http://www.kfguides.com/rift/puzzlesguide.php

So my advice is when you hit the "cap" for each zone, hunt down those treasures and cairns ASAP. Don't wait until you're higher because they might be useless to you. Also, don't get these treasures too early for obvious reasons.

Cairns will at least guarantee you a decent green item at your current level (Provided your level isn't over the "cap" for that zone). Blue if you get lucky. If you're even luckier, it might give you an epic (purple)
Puzzles have a greater chance of netting you a blue and purple.

A Newbie Survival Guide to Rift Beta: Mage Souls

The purpose of this guide is to assist new players of Rift with making the decision as to what souls you should take in the first twenty levels and potentially beyond. Originally, in the first two Beta Events, you were only able to select from three of the eight souls initially. After you progressed through the newbie sequence you were able to select one out of the full eight, and then finally in the culmination of the first world zone, you picked your third soul. This is no longer the case according to Scott Hartsman.
Now we will have access to all the souls initially and more of them. Not only that we will have access to more soul points. Because of this, you will not see any point allocation advice in this guide as we do not know when and how many points we are getting. As many know, not all souls are created equal, and not all of them are balanced yet! So hopefully reading this guide will help players select which souls are the best for soloing content right from the onset so people will not become frustrated by picking unfriendly souls and forced to reroll.
Please remember that all the following information is based off of Beta 2 and may not be 100% accurate for Beta 3. A special thanks to Pyros for helping with this guide.

Leveling Guide for a Warrior

In my experience Warriors in Rift level a bit slower than Mages and if you go the full two handed route then you won’t be able to take on as many foes while leveling as a Mage.
The best souls for leveling a Warrior are the Riftblade andChampion, plus a third optional soul.
The Riftblade soul will be your main soul for leveling, with left over points into Champion.

Leveling Guide for a Rogue

Now I have to admit I play my Rogue less than my Mage, Warrior and Cleric but there are only so many hours in the day.
You have a lot of choices as a Rogue for leveling but I would recommend the Bard and Marksman souls, with theRanger as your third soul.
You don’t need to spend any points into Ranger, as you’re only using it for the free pet.

Leveling Guide for a Mage

The Mage in Rift Planes is one of the best classes to quickly level due to the number of AoE spells you have at your disposal as well as quite a few spells which will ensure you are almost never out of mana.
The best souls for leveling a Mage are the Necromancerand Warlock, plus a third soul which has a number of options.
What I have found work best for me is going up to Soul Purge within the Necromancer tree and put everything else into the Warlock tree.

Rift Warrior Leveling Build

n this article, I will be showing you the best Rift Warrior leveling builds and techniques to level up your character very quickly in Rift Planes of Telara.

Rift Warrior Leveling Build
In Rift, Warriors can choose from 8 separate souls and you can change at any time for a small price. You can also unlock a new “role” which allows you to swap freely between several builds for no cost (much like the “dual spec” feature in World of Warcraft).
As a result, you should make an effort to pick the best Rift Warrior leveling buildregardless of what you want to play later in the game.
As an example, if you want to play a tank, do not pick the defensive souls to start out. You can unlock them later and can always change specs if you want to tank a dungeon.

Rift Game Guide

If you have never played Rift before, there are two major things that are unique to Rift which are not found in any other game: Souls and Rifts.
Souls
In Rift, players are able to select one of four primary classes: Cleric, Mage, Warrior, or Rogue. However, your abilities are actually determined off of which “souls” you have equipped to your character.
Within each class, there are a total of eight souls. Each of the eight souls has one of several roles and a completely unique talent and ability tree.
Players can equip up to 3 souls and can eventually unlock all the souls via quests. They can then change them out at any time (for a small price).
You can place your talent points (which you receive for leveling up) amongst the souls as you please.
However, it is best to pick a primary soul to put most of your points in (as you get access to good abilities this way) and to use 1-2 other souls for support or buffs.

How to craft

Once you have your crafting profession, your gathering professions, some materials what do you do next?

This is what the crafting window looks like, you can select the recipe that you want to make and it will show the ingredients needed, how many that you can make with the materials you have, what skill level you are (as you can see my character is a Novice apothecary, skill level 2 out of 75.) It will show you that what area you need to be crafting in and what you will make. At the bottom you can choose to craft all which will craft as many as you have the materials for, or you can click the over arrows to select how many you would like to make and then hit craft. As you can see there is a blank window with the words augmentation above it. If it is grey like it is in the picture then you cannot augment the item you are trying to make.

BLOG POST SEALED!

If you couldn't tell, this is the maiden voyage of Massively's weekly column devoted to Trion World'supcoming MMO, RIFT. We've been excited about this game for a while now, and with the NDA drop, the announcement of the launch date, news of the collector's edition, and upcoming beta events, it's as good a time as any to start talking about this addictive fantasy experience. Karen Bryan and I will be trading off weeks to cover RIFT from our different vantage points, and we're pretty geeked at the prospect.

A Guide to Planar Attunement in RIFT

Advancing beyond the level cap in an MMO is often a way for all types of players to keep improving their characters. Games like Everquest 2, Age of Conan, and City of Heroes utilize a post-level-cap advancement system with great success. It's no surprise that RIFT is adding a similar system.
RIFT's approach to "alternate advancement," as it is often called thanks to Everquest 2, is the Planar Attunement system. This system lets players continue developing their character by increasing important stats, becoming stronger against one type of planar force, and even improve their mobility in Telara.

this rift  guide can help you to get fastest level in rift

For most people looking for more information on a guide that will help them level they are looking for a step by step quest guide with pictures for in this case all 4 callings so you can quickly get from A to B without any “idle” time.
You see if you are paying a subscription you will want to see all of the content in the game but more than this we all know that the best content and PVP comes later on in the game.
Not that I do not enjoy the process of leveling but if you want all the best equipment and souls you need to put the hours in and level up.

Rift Cleric Guide

cleric rift guide

The Cleric is absolutely the number one healing class in the game. If you plan on doing end-game content and running dungeons, you should plan on healing (especially if you want to do the top-tier content).
If you like to play hybrids and support classes but do not want to be a primary healer, you should pick Mage or Rogue. The Mage’s Chloromancer and the Rogue’s Bard soul both can act as secondary healers and buffers while dishing out plenty of damage. If you roll a Cleric, expect to heal.

Which is the best rift guide?

You could try Xerxes guide , it's overall the best leveling and strategy guide and has both Guardian and Defiant factions included. It costs $37.1
Alternatively you can get Kalmars guide  for $47 but it only has a leveling guide for Guardians, so if you plan to change factions it would be useless.

There's a few other guides as well which you can check on the same website I did, provided in the source.
